"It was a good race all around. I am very happy to have won but it was a tough fight all the way," said Ono.
Standing beside him in 2nd place, Okubo was forced to concede that Ono simply had the complete package. "All the bikes were the same. These two races were won by his superior skills."
However, the real show stealer from both races of the Asia Dream Cup was Thai rider Apiwat Wongthananon. Apiwat started both races 8th on the grid, but still managed to power his way past the rest of the field and mix it up with the leaders.
Picking up 50 points from this leg, Ono leads the ADC standings with 50 points while Okubo takes second spot with 40 points and Apiwat third, 32 points. Malaysian, Sasitharen Sukumaran comes in fourth with 21 points.
